WHAT TIME IS IT? Really?
(It's later than you think) Because it is Tradition, Does not make it Right!
That is a question people often ask. They may need to go somewhere. Or know when kids will be home from school, or fix dinner.
Everything in this world depends on timing. So if you think this is November, 1994, you are wrong. (This flyer was published then.)
People realize that B.C. means Before Christ. A.D. is Latin for "Anno Domini," which is "in the year of our Lord." A.M. is for "in the year of the world" or "Anno Mundi."
People of Jewish faith believe that sundown on September 5, 1994, begins the year of 5755 since the creation of Adam. They believe the civil calendar year begins in the fall. The religious calendar begins in the spring at Passover as Exodus 12:2 says: "This month (Abib--March--April) shall be unto you The beginning of months: it shall be the First (1st) month of the year to you." Also See Exodus 13: 4.
The Ancients counted a year as a circle of 360 degrees. Each month represented one of
the 12 constellations in the Zodiac of the sky of 30 degrees, or 30 days each. They made
adjustments or corrections based upon the appearance of a new moon. The calendar we have
today did not exist until 1582 when Pope Gregory XIII established what is called The
Gregorian Calendar. England did not accept it until 1752 (170 years
Before the Gregorian Calendar, there was the Julian Calendar named after Julius Caesar who established it in 46 B.C. in the Julian Calendar. July was named after him and August was named after Emperor Augustus.
The Jews reckon from what they think was the creation of the world in 3761 B.C. yet any reasonable, sensible person with an education knows from science, geology, and radio carbon dating that the world is not now only 5755 years old.
Most of the world today does use the Gregorian Calendar, but knowledgeable religious scholars today all agree that Jesus Christ was "really" born before what we call today 0 or AD 1.
Opinions vary from 2 B.C. to 7 B.C. So I will show you when, where, How and Why Jesus was born on April 6, 5 B.C. on our Gregorian Calendar accepted in 1582.
John 1:29 tells us: "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin for the world."
So now we will go back about 1500 years to the first Passover. God knows the exact, precise timing of the universe.
Continuing Exodus 12:3 "Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth (10th) day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house, and ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth (14th) day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye, shall eat it in haste: It is the Lord's Passover. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever." (Exodus 12:3, 6, 11, 14)
For ever is a long time, huh? Do you keep God's commandment? I keep the Passover.
Like Isaiah 1:18 says: "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord."
When you go to get your drivers license in some states, you can fill out a blood type ID, sign an organ donor card, register to vote or even pay your taxes.
Luke 2: 1, 4, 5 says: "A decree from Caesar Augustus, (August) that all the world should be taxed. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the City of Nazareth, into Judaea...to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child," (traveled 75 miles on a donkey).
"And there were in the same country (area-region-county) shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night." Luke 2:8
Now think and reason with your brain. No shepherd is out in the fields on December 25 when everything is freezing. No plants are growing and surely no baby lambs are being born in the freezing cold and sometimes snow.
The truth is Jesus was born on April 6, early spring when new grass was coming up for the mother ewes to give lots of milk for the new baby lambs. So many people were coming for the Passover, and to be counted, and taxed that all the rooms were full, so Jesus was born in the barn or stable. Jesus was the Lamb of God.
Forty days later He was taken to the Temple in Jerusalem to be presented to the Lord God of All Israel, not just the Jews.
We read: "And when the days of her purification according to the Law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord." Luke 2:22
Leviticus 12:2-4 tells of the forty days: "Speak unto the Children (12 Tribes) of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven (7) days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean. And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days (33); she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the (40) days of her purifying be fulfilled."
So Luke tells us Jesus was born at the time when shepherds were in the fields, with new lambs. And Jesus was presented to the Lord in the Temple, 40 days later.
So 40 or 50 days later he is in a house and the time is June. Matthew 2 tells us: "Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem (10 miles south of Jerusalem) of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying where is he that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him." Matthew 2:1-2
Other history shows that those three wise men were astronomers, (not astrologers) from the city of "Sippar" about 50 miles up river from Babylon in Mesopotamia. They had watched each of the planets in our solar system, that appear as specks of light, or "stars" in our system. Each star had a name and represented some object. Jupiter was royalty or the king. The planet Saturn represented the city of Jerusalem, (not Bethlehem). If you study our solar system you will learn that all the planets travel in an elliptical orbit. Relative to the earth some are progressive and some are regressive at various times of the year.
On October 3, 7 B.C. and again on December 4, 7 B.C. the two planets of Jupiter and
Saturn came together as viewed from earth. The wise men knew something was happening. Then
in the spring of 6 B.C. the planet Mars joined the two. Then in 5 B.C. what we know as a
s upernova blazed.
It continued to move across the eastern sky progressively to the west. So the Magi began their journey to the Royal-City, Jupiter-Saturn and arrived at Jerusalem looking for the new king.
We here pick up the story as told by Matthew: "There came the wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is He that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered all the chief priests And scribes (religious leaders and record keepers) of the people together, He (Herod) demanded of them where Christ (the Anointed) should be born.
And they said unto him, in Bethlehem of Judaea: For thus it is written by the
Here we learn the lesson that the scriptures we have will come true, because they are the words of Prophets. The prophet Micah had written over 700 years before: "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel" (all 12 tribes). Micah 5:2
So! One verse of a prophet's words may take 700 years to happen. Isaiah 7:14 foretold "a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son." About 730 years later it happened.
Back to Matthew: "Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them What time (when) the star appeared. (Remember it was in 7 B.C. that Jupiter and Saturn, first appeared together.) And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; (Notice "young child," not a new baby) and when ye have found him, bring me word again." Matthew 2:7, 8
So the Wise men went looking for him and found him in a house, not a manger of a
Matthew tells us: "And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child (remember the 40 days and temple ritual was already past so we are now in June, probably late June) with Mary his mother and fell down, and worshipped him: And when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, (who was alive) they departed into their own country another way." Matthew 2:11-12
So after a while Herod is still waiting because he wants to kill this young child that has been prophesied about. Now we go back to Matthew: " And when they (the Wise men) were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise and take the young child and his mother and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
When he (Joseph) arose, (from the dream) he took the young child and his mother by night, (so people would not see them go) and departed into Egypt. (A walk of 2 or 3 weeks away, that took the disobedient children of Israel 40 years of wandering to crossover about 1400 years before.)
Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, (mad as Hell) and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem and in all the coasts (area) thereof from two (2) years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men" (who just split, bugged out, left him hanging). Matthew 2:16
Review and remember for a moment Jesus was born in the spring when new tender grass is growing for the ewes to give milk for the new baby lambs and Jesus was the Lamb of God. Then a couple of months later the wise men found him in a house, and they did not return to tell Herod. Joseph had a dream and took Mary and Jesus to Egypt, and when Herod realized he had been stood up by the wise men, he ordered the killing of all children two (2) years old and under, reckoning from the time the wise men said they saw the stars (planets) of Jupiter and Saturn merge in 7 B.C.
Returning to Matthew 2:15 we read Jesus was in Egypt: "Until the Death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my Son." Which had been spoken by Hosea 11:1 about 750 years before. So we learn prophets do make long term predictions.
So when did Herod die? Here we go to the ancient Jewish historian Josephus who lived in the 1st century. He gives very detailed accounts of the days of Herod and Christ and in all 700 pages of his history only mentions one (1) eclipse of the moon.
Josephus in Antiquities of the Jews page 365 says: "But Herod
deprived this Matthias of the high priesthood, and burnt the other Matthias, who had
raised the sedition, with his campanions, alive.
When we look at the Julian calendar which was used at that time we find the eclipse mentioned in the year 4710 which would make it 4 B.C. in the Christian era.
Josephus continues: "But now Herod's distemper greatly increased Upon Him after a severe manner, And this by God's judgment upon him for his sins: for a fire glowed in him slowly, His entrails were also exulcerated, and the chief violence of his pain lay on his colon, Nay, further, his privy member was putrified, And produced worms; and when he sat upright he had a difficulty of breathing, which was very loathsome, on account of the stench of his breath." So in 4 B.C. Herods penis had worms in it.
So that there would be mourning when he died, he ordered that in the whole nation, one person of every family would be killed so that tears would be shed throughout the nation when he died.
Then on page 366 we read: "When he had done those things, He died, the fifth day after he had caused Antipater (his own son) to be slain."
Review and remember for a moment. The eclipse of the moon had just happened and we know from modern astronomical calculations that it happened on March 13, 4 B.C.
Then Joseph, Mary, and Jesus came back from Egypt and lived in Nazareth."
Herod died March ??, 4 B.C. while Jesus was in Egypt.
So now you understand why I said he was born on April 6, 5 B.C. and our calendar is five
years off. A true date, it's later than you think.
Matthew 24:20 tells us "But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter neither on the Sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: But for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened" (9 hours and 15 minutes each-sun-up, sun-down).
When the tribulation begins (surprise attack from former U.S.S.R.) begins it will be in the evening here in the U.S.A. and the daybreak for them in Russia. A long night of darkness for U.S. and daytime for them to flee, hide, prepare for when we can shoot our missiles back at them.
No rapture- No escape-No time to prepare! Only regrets that people would not listen to a prophet. Ah-So, too late! They all had leaders tell them they were saved.
Matthew continues: "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, (because of fallout) and the moon shall not give her light, (very dark nights, no power, no lights, no stars, only long Cold death) and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens (in Greek of the New Testament the word "heavens" is ouranos, and all nuclear bombs come from Uranium 235, from the Greek word ouranos. So Matthew is really saying the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: (since 1945). And then shall appear the sign of the son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn," (because of the nuclear fallout around the world and death of billions, (yes "B") billions of people.
So you poor pre-tribulation "Rapture" people are out of luck. Your stuck here till you get burnt by those 11 million degree fireballs. You need to repent of your church traditions.
Why not prepare to stay awhile; the meek shall inherit the earth, while the arrogant, proud are burnt to a crisp. Traditions Cause Tunnel Vision
Narrow-minded religious people have tunnel vision. It
doesn't matter if they are Mormon, Seventh-Day Adventist, Catholic, Jehovah's Witness, Jew
or any other Christian sect. They are right and everyone else is wrong. The more active
and involved they are, the narrower are their ideas and more resistant they are to truth. Each sect of ministers preach with a smooth, silken tongue, telling their
hearers that they are the Lord's people and will be saved. They all think they are so
smart that they don't have to listen to a true prophet, who tells them they fall short of
the goal, but instead choose men of their liking to tell them just what they want to hear.
