# 6     Calling and Election Sure  Will God help us?
For the Lord to care about defending a people there must be a people who are willing to obey him. Or he could care less as you will see as the wicked are destroyed by the millions in the war coming as the warheads hit the forsaken cities like Sodom.

“We will build up our Zion after the pattern that God will show us, and we will be governed by his law and submit to his authority and be governed by the holy priesthood and by the word and will of God. And then when the time comes that these calamities we read of, shall overtake the earth, those that are prepared will have the power of translation, as they had in former times, and the city will be translated. And Zion that is on the earth will rise, and the Zion above will descend, as we are told, and we will meet and fall on each other's necks and embrace and kiss each other. And thus the purposes of God to a certain extent will then be fulfilled. But there are a great many things to be brought about before that time. And we are here in an organized capacity trying to prepare ourselves for all the providences of the Almighty. We are trying to instill into the hearts of the people the principles of honesty, truth and integrity, and remove covetousness and iniquity of every kind.”   John Taylor,   “1880”  Journal of Discourses Volume 21:253- 255

At another time he said: “We are gathered here for the express purposes of God; the world, however, do not understand it. But I tell you what they will do, by-and-by. You will see them flocking to Zion by thousands and tens of thousands; and they will say, "We don't know anything about your religion, we don't care much about religious matters, but you are honest and honorable, and upright and just, and you have a good, just and secure government, and we want to put ourselves under your protection, for we cannot feel safe anywhere else." There is a scripture which says, the time will come "when he that will not take up his sword to fight against his neighbor, must needs flee to Zion for safety." And they will come. But we must prepare ourselves; we have got to have the invigorating influence of the Spirit of God to permeate all of our organizations, all feeling that we are under the guidance and protection of the Almighty, every man in his place, and every man according to the order of the priesthood in which God has placed him.”  John Taylor,   “1878”     Journal of Discourses 20: 137

We can’t be
a Zion people if we don’t obey, and are just as worthy of the Nuclear Warheads as the wicked world. Huh!
Some people say: Oh, we are the Lord’s people. I say we are just like the people in the time of Helaman.
Helaman 7:
“Yea, how could you have given way to the enticing of him who is seeking to hurl away your souls down to everlasting misery and endless wo?
17 O repent ye, repent ye!  Why will ye die?  Turn ye, turn ye unto the Lord your God.  Why has he forsaken you?
18 It is because you have hardened your hearts; yea, ye will not hearken unto the voice of the good shepherd; yea, ye have provoked him to anger against you.
26 Yea, wo shall come unto you because of that pride which ye have suffered to enter your hearts, which has lifted you up beyond that which is good because of your exceedingly great riches!
27 Yea, wo be unto you because of your wickedness and abominations!
28 And except ye repent ye shall perish; yea, even your lands shall be taken from you, and ye shall be destroyed from off the face of the earth.
29 Behold now, I do not say that these things shall be, of myself, because it is not of myself that I know these things; but behold, I know that these things are true because the Lord God has made them known unto me, therefore I testify that they shall be.”  Helaman 7:16-18, and 26- 29
Read all of Helaman 8 about his problems just like my problems.

“And those judges were angry with him because he spake plainly unto them concerning their secret works of darkness; nevertheless, they durst not lay their own hands upon him, for they feared the people lest they should cry out against them.
5 Therefore they did cry unto the people, saying: Why do you suffer this man to revile against us?  For behold he doth condemn all this people, even unto destruction; yea, and also that these our great cities shall be taken from us, that we shall have no place in them.
6 And now we know that this is impossible, for behold, we are powerful, and our cities great, therefore our enemies can have no power over us.”  Book of Mormon - Helaman 8: 4-6
(Have I said yet that there are hypocrites among us?)   Yes lying hypocrites CLICK HERE and see if you believe.

“In a very early period of the history of this Church, when in its infancy, the Lord said unto us, in a revelation which is contained in the Doctrine and Covenants, "He that is Tithed shall not be burned."(DC 64:23-24) In several of the revelations the subject of Tithing is referred to in a general way; but the special revelation on that subject was given at Far West, Missouri, in July, 1838, in answer to the question, "O Lord, shew unto thy servants how much thou requirest of the properties of thy people for Tithing."
And by this revelation we learned that we were required to consecrate
all of our surplus property for the purposes mentioned therein, and after doing that to pay annually one-tenth of our increase. This means increase from every source. For instance, if a man depend only upon the labor of his own hands, than one-tenth of his earnings would be his lawful Tithing. But if in addition to this he possess teams or employ other labor, then the increase of such labor should also be Tithed. Again, if he should be engaged opening up farms, building or making other improvements, thus accumulating a surplus around him, one-tenth of the increase of such property would be due, as Tithing, as well as a tenth of his labor combined. Then again, should part of his surplus property be in such a condition as to enable him to invest it in any branch of business, one-tenth of the profits arising there from is due as Tithing; or should he have money loaned out on interest, on every dollar so accumulated the sum of ten cents belongs to the Lord, in accordance to his law regulating the Tithing of his people; and so on, this law strictly applying to our income derived from every source.

It is not, as some verily suppose, the Tithing of what you may have left after deducting all of your expenses; or in other words, after spending all you can. There are some calling themselves Latter-day Saints who try to appease their conscience in the belief that Tithing means the tenth of what may be left after deducting all expenses, which would amount to this: "What we cannot spend we will give a tenth of that as our Tithing." How much, my brethren and sisters, do you think the Lord would get if all of us felt and acted so?

I will here say, that when this law of Tithing was revealed, in 1843,
the Lord said, "This shall be a standing law unto them forever," and "shall be an ensample unto all the Stakes of Zion." And we are also told that all who observe not this law should not be found worthy to abide among the people of God. And the Lord further says, "If my people observe not this law, to keep it holy, and by this law sanctify the land of Zion unto me, that my statutes and my judgments might be kept therein, that it may be most holy, behold, verily, I say unto you, it shall not be a land of Zion unto you" This was the word of the Lord to his people at that early day, and it has never changed, but is in force to this day and will remain so forever. Unless certain conditions are complied with, this chosen land cannot be a land of Zion unto us.”  Erastus Snow JD 19: 336-337 “1878”
Have the commands of God changed any
?   Your Bible says:

“Will a man rob God?
Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts? (Notice that Bill Gates, $ Billions, can’t save him!)

15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.”     Malachi 3:8-18 in the Bible.
(That’s the command of God, and I don’t have the authority to revoke it do I!) A ticket to heaven does cost. So buy or fry!  Your choice, that’s what God has said, not me.

But let me tell you wives that have had a Temple recommend because your husband paid a tithe. And then when you get out on your own and just ignore the commandments of God and teach your children to do the same; then you can be classed among the wicked of this world who rob God. I have seen it happen often. Women can be hypocrites too!
I will do a link about tithing in the future about a true 10% TITHE. People who think they have tithed in the past, don’t count their FICA deductions and will burn. People think they can cheat God. Fools they are.   Are you watching the “quotes”?

“We are not only going to have Zion throughout this continent, but we will have it over the whole earth. The whole earth is the Lord's.
The time will come when it will be translated and be filled with the spirit and power of God. The atmosphere around it will be the spirit of the Almighty. We will breathe that Spirit instead of the atmosphere that we now breathe. But now it is for us to make the preparation, that we may be worthy to be called into the house of the Lord and receive our second blessings. I do not want the presidents of Stakes to send any person to our Temples to receive the highest blessings that have ever been bestowed upon man since the world began, until it can be said of him, "He pays his full tithing." Messages of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6 vols. (Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1965-75), Volume 3: 313

“Ruling on Temple anointings, April 14, 1900  1890-April 14-Circular letter, Church Historian's Library, Salt Lake City.
The "second blessings" here referred to are presumably also on occasion known as "second anointings." Since the sacred nature of Temple ordinances and ceremonies restricts their discussion outside the Temples it is pointless to make much comment on this letter. It is interesting, however, that President Snow restored a practice obtaining in the administrations of Brigham Young and John Taylor but which had been suspended during the administration of Wilford Woodruff. As supplementary material to this letter the reader might refer to the material on the "Law of Adoption" (1894) earlier in this volume where justification or explanation is made on the grounds on which these changes in rules are made by different Presidents of the L.D.S. Church.”   Office of The First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints  Salt Lake City, Utah, April 14th, 1900.

Prest. David H. Cannon, St. George

During the lifetime of the late President Wilford Woodruff a rule was established by him not to permit a woman to be anointed to a man unless she had lived with him as a wife. This was a restriction of the rule in such cases which obtained during the lifetime of Presidents Brigham Young and John Taylor. After considering the matter we have concluded to restore the practice as expressed in the following, and which will govern in such cases in the future:
Any woman, who has been sealed to a man in life or by proxy, whether she has lived with him or not, shall have the privilege of being anointed to him inasmuch as (as) he shall have had his second blessings.    (2nd. Anointing – Today women are Not anointed to men.)

Messages of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6 vols. (Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1965-75), 3: 325

A man that has NOT received his 2nd. Anointing is NOT worthy of having any wives in the hereafter. That is the Law of God.
They are even told that in the partial
Aaronic endowment that:
“These blessings are based upon your faithfulness.”
In a nutshell; people are NOT faithful and so don’t get the 2nd. Anointing and come to the point where they receive their calling and election sure. When you understand the doctrine that a man must live plural marriage to have the 2nd. Anointing is a key.
CLICK HERE to begin to read about Aaronic Endowment.

A person has to keep all of the commandments of God to make their calling and election sure. They must as you have just read “Keep the Law of tithing.” They must also “Keep the Law of Celestial, or Plural Marriage.” See Doctrine and Covenants 132: 1-6  If you don’t believe me.   That really decides who is for God, and who is not.
Men and women will get mad and “pissed-off” because they don’t want to hear the truth. I’m just telling you what the rules are. So, Go gripe to God.
I have received the promise from Jesus Christ himself. Decades ago I published a revelation in print that has never before been on the internet. Here is a 'part'. "...Yea, the day cometh that those shall think that they are in an ocean of fire. Thou hast had thine second anointings which have been promised unto the true and faithful. By mine own mouth thou hast been given the keys of revelation and vision. So be bold in declaring the truth and the words of mine prophets..." May 25, 1983 in Parowan Utah.

“Did the people carry out this law? No. Why?
Because they had imbibed the notions which had prevailed among the people of the whole earth, and these notions were in direct opposition to the order of heaven. The notions and traditions of the world were that every man must be for himself, every family for themselves, and they must labor with their might, mind and strength to gain all they possibly could gain, and use it only for themselves and their generations after them, caring nothing at all about their neighbors. These traditions had been instilled into our minds, and we were too full of covetousness and of false notions about property to carry out the law of God, and hence many, when they came up to Zion, looked abroad upon that beautiful, rich soil, and the excellent groves of timber, and the fine prairies and meadows, with springs breaking forth in numerous places, as they do in Jackson County, and their souls lusted after these things, and the rich man said, "No, I will not consecrate all my property, I will go the General Land Office and purchase for myself, and I will buy largely in order that I may sell to my poor brethren when they come up here. I will buy land and speculate upon it, and make my fortune." That was the feeling which existed in the hearts of some of the Latter-day Saints. God saw this, and reproved us by revelation, and he said to the people of Jackson County, by the mouth of his servant Joseph, that if they did not repent of this covetousness he would pluck them up and send them out of Zion, for said he, "The rebellious are not of the blood of Ephraim, wherefore they shall be plucked up, and sent away out of the land." God fulfilled this revelation—he did pluck up the people; he did cast them away out of that land in the year 1833. Some two years and a few months after we first began to settle that country we were cast out of the landplucked up, just as the Lord had predicted, and we were told that it was because of our sins and covetousness that we were sent away
But let me refer you to the fullness of the law of tithing, for, although an inferior law, I fear that, as a people we have not kept it. The first part of that law requires
every man, when he comes into the midst of the people of God, to consecrate all his surplus property, reserving to himself a certain portion. This is not a full consecration like the higher law. Latter-day Saints, have we kept this inferior law? Has the man who possessed great riches, when he came to these mountains, and numbered himself with the people of God, consecrated all his surplus property, and afterwards paid a tenth of all his annual income? I will tell you what we have done—as a general thing we, rich and poor, have kept all the property we had when we came here, and some have consecrated one-tenth part of their income, and so far as this is concerned the people have no doubt done very well, with some few exceptions; and I am happy to be able to state, from information I have obtained from some of the Bishops of the Church, that the Latter-day Saints, now, are showing more determination to pay their tithing, than they ever have done heretofore.

But let us come back to the other portion of this inferior law. Have we felt a disposition to consecrate our surplus property? Go east, west, north and south, into all our settlements, and you will find that the men are few and far between who consecrated their surplus property, when they came here. In the first place, there have been but few wealthy persons who have come amongst us, and the people have been their own judges. Every man thought that he had no surplus, when he came here. If he had a hundred thousand dollars on his arrival he has said or thought, "O, I have made such and such calculations. I wish to become a merchant in the midst of the people, and I need thousands and thousands of dollars to set me up. I wish to make thirty, forty, fifty or a hundred per cent out of these poor people, and to enable me to do so I do not think that any of this hundred thousand dollars can be called surplus property. I need it all, I can not carry on my merchandising unless I have it all to set me up.”         Orson Pratt “1873”

The 2nd. Week that I was brought home, after months in the Hospital in Salt Lake City after my plane crash.
CLICK HERE to see that Plane.

I had my oldest son push me the two blocks to church in my wheelchair. I was cast both legs from the waist down to my toes.
And had a cast on my right arm from my fingers to my shoulder.
I had him push me into the Bishop’s office and excuse himself so I could talk to the Bishop. There I told the Bishop I had learned on the other side of the veil that I had to
consecrate everything to the Lord.
I then had over 1000 acres of prime farmland with sprinkler systems on all of it. And more than another 1000 acres ( 2 square miles) of range for cattle. Big long haul trucks and trailers, farm machinery, and homes, and silos with over $150,000 dollars worth of grain in them. And about $100,000 dollars in bailed hay stacked ready to sell.
The Bishop was amazed and dumbfounded, and said he never heard of such a thing and that he would have to talk to the Stake President.
He then talked with the General Authorities in SLC and I went up to see them. The LDS Church President Gordon B. Hinckley has been in my home for a visit. Then about six months later I was excommunicated from the LDS Church.  Because I believed what I was told and they said that I was apostate. Not the end of the story. Now see who has received the promise from Jesus Christ. And read around on my web site and see who is “Really Apostate.” And will get to be in the fires of hell. Just like
God has said would happen.  His words not just mine.
Would you like to be a multi- millionaire?   I have said before here on my web site that I am the richest man alive because I have received the promises of God. And I was not even born as a Mormon. So if I could do it, so can you! Can you read what is required for eternity? A long time.
What would you give for eternal life?  You decide if it’s worth it.

Jesus said: “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soulor what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”  Matthew 16: 26
Most people trade it off for a little trash for a few years.

does the 6th. Lecture on Faith make sense to you? CLICK HERE it’s on link #1   To receive the promises from God.  You know that you are going to die soon. If you will keep in your mind that you may have only a month left to prepare for eternity, what can you do?
What record will your last days on earth show? You can’t take anything with you but your record. All those dreams and ideas you plan for are “zip” gone!
Just how long is eternity?

Jesus said: “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.  Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.  Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.  Are ye not much better than they?”   Matthew 6: 24-26  So do you really believe him? Can you do it? And get to see God.
Go read verses 19 to 34 yourself.
Are you worth saving?  You can decide if you want to change, or just continue until you die.

“Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved?  And he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.”    Luke 13: 23-24

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth
to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”    Matthew 7: 13-14

“I also have charity for the Gentiles.  But behold, for none of these can I hope except they shall be reconciled unto Christ, and enter into the narrow gate, and walk in the strait path which leads to life, and continue in the path until the end of the day of probation.”     2 Nephi 33: 9

“And it came to pass that when Jesus had ended these sayings he said unto his disciples: Enter ye in at the strait gate; for strait is the gate, and narrow is the way that leads to life, and few there be that find it; but wide is the gate, and broad the way which leads to death, and many there be that travel therein, until the night cometh, wherein no man can work.” (Are you the few to find it?)
3 Nephi 27: 33

“Wherefore, although a man should be baptized an hundred times it availeth him nothing, for you cannot enter in at the strait gate by the law of Moses, neither by your dead works.”  Doctrine and Covenants
22: 2  (Moses law is Aaronic judgment law.)

“Verily, verily,
I say unto you, except ye abide my law ye cannot attain to this glory. (MY law!  =  My Law!  )
22 For strait is the gate, and narrow the way that leadeth unto the exaltation and continuation of the lives, and few there be that find it, because ye receive me not in the world neither do ye know me.
23 But if ye receive me in the world, then shall ye know me, and shall receive your exaltation; that where I am ye shall be also.

24 This is eternal lives—to know the only wise and true God, and Jesus Christ, whom he hath sent.  I am heReceive ye, therefore, my law.
25 Broad is the gate, and wide the way that leadeth to the deaths; and many there are that go in thereat, because they receive me not, neither do they abide in my law.”   Doctrine and Covenants 132: 21-25

“I am the Lord thy God,
and will give unto thee the law of my Holy Priesthood, as was ordained by me and my Father before the world was.  (Eternal Law, before the world was!)
33 But if ye enter not into my law ye cannot receive the promise of my Father, which he made unto Abraham.
34 God commanded Abraham, and Sarah gave Hagar to Abraham to wife.  And why did she do it?  Because this was the law; and from Hagar sprang many people.  This, therefore, was fulfilling, among other things, the promises.
35 Was Abraham, therefore, under condemnation?  Verily I say unto you, Nay; for I, the Lord, commanded it.”   Doctrine and Covenants 132: 28, 33-35
Perhaps in just a month or so you are going to die. What will you do in your last days on earth? Do you want to live in eternity? You now have some habits that need changing, starting right now as you read this. Tomorrow may be too late! Huh ! !
